HYMN NO. 1

THE ROSICRUCIAN FELLOWSHIP OPENING HYMN

[1]

Each star that in its orbit goes

Law steadfast and eternal shows

Expressions are the stars of God

Unchangeable as ebb and flood

The marching orbs in circle dance

Through time and space each year advance

The harmony of rolling spheres

Resounds in cosmos through the years

[2]

Man’s ignorance of cosmic law

Caused discord then came death and woe

Now trouble, sorrow, grief must reign

Till harmony prevails again

We’ve met to study nature’s law

We seek eternal truth to know

And with such truth as we may find

We hope to serve and free mankind

[3]

Let’s strive to know that we may do

What lifts, ennobles, is right and true

With love to all and hate to none

Let’s shun no duty that should be done

For knowing how to act aright

And doing it from morn till night

From day to day and year to year

We conquer self and sin and fear

[4]

With reason’s torch we search for truth

To restore the harmony life and youth

For reasons torch when thus applied

In wisdom’s quest is safest guide

If we persist though oft we fail

In time our effort shall prevail

To end the discord and dispel

All evil with harmony’s rhythmic swell

HYMN NO. 2

THE ROSICRUCIAN FELLOWSHIP CLOSING HYMN

[1]

God be with you till we meet again

In His love each day abide you

That His wisdom’s light may guide you

God be with you till we meet again

Refrain

Till we meet, till we meet,

Till we meet the Rosy Cross to greet

Till we meet, till we meet,

God be with you till we meet again

[2]

God be with you in your hour of joy

With life’s choicest gifts to bless you

With no sorrow to oppress you

Then may service give you added joy

[3]

God be with you in your hour of pain

When temptations surge around you

With helpful thoughts we will surround you

Till your darkness turns to light again

[4]

God be with you till we meet again

At the Cross with Roses garnished

May our lives be pure untarnished

Till the Rosy Cross we greet again

HYMN NO. 3

NEARER, MY GOD, TO THEE

[1]

Nearer my God, to Thee,

Neare to Thee!

E’en though it be a cross

That raiseth me,

Still all my song shall be,

Nearer my God to Thee,

Nearer my God to Thee,

Nearer to Thee!

[2]

Though like the wanderer,

The sun gone down,

Darkness be over me,

My rest a stone.

Yet in my dreams I’d be

Nearer my God to Thee

Nearer my God to Thee,

Nearer to Thee!

[3]

There let the way appear

Steps unto heaven;

All that Thou send’st to me

In mercy given;

Angels to beckon me

Nearer my God to Thee

Nearer my God to Thee,

Nearer to Thee!

[4]

Then, with my waking thoughts

Bright with Thy praise,

Out of my stony grief

Bethel I’ll raise;

So by my woes to be

Nearer my God to Thee

Nearer my God to Thee,

Nearer to Thee!

HYMN NO. 4

FELLOWSHIP DAY

[1]

In loving comradeship,

We join on Founder’s Day,

In gratitude and fellowship

For one who leads the way.

[2]

His spirit ever grows,

In love and sympathy,

As though a living fragrant rose

To serve humanity.

[3]

He heard the Brothers’ call

And then from wisdom’s pool

As Teacher true gave forth to all

The Rosicrucian Schools.

HYMN NO. 5

CROSS AND ROSES ARE MY GUIDE

[1]

Cross and roses are my guide

On the path to freedom’s light

When the way growths dark and drear

Then the symbol sets me right

Cross and roses are my guide

On the path to freedom’s light

[2]

Cross and roses symbol great

Guiding to eternal light

Man reflects the thought divine

God alone makes all things right

Cross and roses wond’rous guide

On the path to freedom’s light

[3]

Cross and roses joy of joys

What a blessed holy sight

When the power of earthly man

Weakens in this worldly fight

Cross and roses are my guide

On the path to freedom’s light

HYMN NO. 6

WHITE ROSES SERVICE SONG

[1]

I pray to Thee, O keeper of Light.

With my eyes on the beautiful rose of white

I adore Thy Holy Name this hour.

Transmute my love to healing pow’r.

Help me to find the Road.

The Glory Road that Jesus trod.

The Road of service, the shortest Road,

safest and most joyful Road.

Teach me to love the Road

that leads to thee, my Father God.

HYMN NO. 7

THE ROSICRUCIAN FELLOWSHIP EMBLEM SONG

I am the child of God

With this body of mine

I make the living cross

Each day I must be pure and good

And then I know

That on my cross will lovely roses grow

And I shall weave

The Golden wedding garment into a star

A lovely star, that shines from afar

HYMN NO. 8

VERNAL EQUINOX

[1]

Exalted now on high,

All nature wakes to life anew

O’er sea, the earth and sky

At Vernal solstice time

Rejuvenate and thus inspires

The souls that heavenward climb

The souls that heavenward climb

The souls that heavenward climb

Ascending glorified

In world of God He reigns supreme

Extolled and sanctified
Extolled and sanctified
Extolled and sanctified

HYMN NO. 9

SUMMER SOLSTICE

[1]

All nature glows in glorious dress,

At summer solstice rites,

The brownies and the pixies sport

With imps and happy sprites:

The woods are gay with elves at play,

The fairies dance all night

In moon-beams through the misty delves,

’Neath stars that glitter bright.

[2]

The undines skip with rippling glee

’Neath dashing, foaming spray,

Their shinning bodies soft with sheen,

Exquisite in their play:

The mermaids skim the waters o’er,

With nymphs of sparkling hue

Transparent in their briny realm,

Translucent to the view.

Power in activity flows from Mars to you

To the mystic shrine

Worker do thy part

May the Christ Light ever shine

Deep within thy Heart

The life force He has spent.

COSMIC HARMONY(Taurus)

[1]

Sprang the building of this world

In pure harmony and joyfully

As the silences were broken

By the concord of sweet sound

Venus thrilled to hear the sacredest

The one word spoken

[2]

Since that long, that far off day

It is love that points the way

Even stars do keep their courses

By the power of this ray

When we learn to love each other

When discordant words we stay

Peacefulness shall reign

And bless us and Elder Brother

Seek treasures hidden there.
